Fatal southwest Charlotte car crash death of Jinqui Alexander Segura Vega – Obituary

Jinqui Alexander Segura Vega, 38, tragically lost his life in a fiery collision in southwest Charlotte on the evening of April 26, 2025. The incident took place around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Nations Ford Road and Westinghouse Boulevard.

Authorities reported that Vega was driving a Nissan that was struck by a Lexus heading westbound. Following the impact, Vega’s vehicle ignited, trapping him inside. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lexus involved in the crash was driven by a 16-year-old, who sustained no serious injuries but did suffer front-end damage to the vehicle. That teenager is now facing a misdemeanor charge of death by vehicle in relation to the accident.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
