Morishia Vershonda Robinson dies in fatal Henrico car crash

Fatal Henrico car crash death of Morishia Vershonda Robinson – Obituary

Morishia Vershonda Robinson, a 41-year-old woman from Tappahannock, lost her life early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle accident in the Fairfield District of Henrico County, Virginia.

Police were dispatched to the scene near Mechanicsville Turnpike, close to the Hanover County line, where they discovered a vehicle in the westbound lanes. Robinson had to be extricated from the car by emergency responders, and she was pronounced dead at the scene by Henrico fire personnel.

According to the preliminary findings, Robinson had been traveling eastbound on the Turnpike when her vehicle struck a guardrail on the right side of the road. The impact caused her car to swerve across the median, ultimately crashing into a concrete jersey wall in the westbound lanes.

Investigators suspect that high speed and the fact that Robinson was not wearing a seatbelt contributed to the severity of the crash.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and ask anyone with additional information to contact the Henrico Police Crash Team or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
