Shurvell Rush dies in fatal Bay Shore stabbing
Fatal Bay Shore stabbing death of Shurvell Rush – Obituary
Authorities are investigating the killing of 47-year-old Shurvell Rush, a homeless man who was fatally stabbed near the Long Island Rail Road station in Bay Shore on the evening of May 3. Emergency responders arrived shortly after a 911 call at 6:40 p.m. and found Rush with stab wounds to his chest behind 115 Railroad Plaza. He was taken to South Shore University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Rush was known to be without permanent housing. The Suffolk County Police Department’s Homicide Squad is actively searching for clues and requesting the public’s assistance.
