Joan Allison dies in fatal El Dorado County car crash

Fatal El Dorado County car crash death of Joan Allison – Obituary

Joan Allison, an 84-year-old resident of Cameron Park, was killed in a head-on collision Saturday morning on Green Valley Road near Silva Valley Parkway in El Dorado County. The incident involved two vehicles traveling in opposite directions at about 55 miles per hour.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Dodge Charger heading east veered off the south edge of the roadway, struck a raised curb, then reentered the road and crossed into oncoming traffic. It collided with a westbound silver Toyota Camry driven by Allison.

The crash resulted in her death at the scene. Three additional individuals sustained injuries, with one reported to be in serious condition.

Investigators have not yet determined if alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash, and the case remains under active review.
