Fatal Frayser shooting death of Trivez Washington – Obituary

Trivez Washington, 30, was fatally shot inside a McDonald’s restaurant in the Frayser neighborhood of Memphis on April 22. Officers from the Memphis Police Department arrived at the scene around 5:17 p.m. and found Washington behind the front counter, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the location.

 

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage, which revealed a confrontation between Washington and another man in the restaurant’s lobby. The suspect, dressed in a light-colored shirt and blue jeans, was seen engaging in a physical altercation with Washington before pulling out a firearm and opening fire.

 

During the incident, another individual wearing a black shirt and sporting a gray beard entered the McDonald’s and appeared to approach the fight but fled with the shooter after shots were fired. Both suspects ran west through the parking lot and disappeared from camera view.
