James Webster Jr. dies in fatal Simpsonville shooting
Fatal Simpsonville shooting death of James Webster Jr. – Obituary
James Webster Jr., 34, was identified as the man killed during a deputy-involved shooting late Thursday night in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Bryson Heights Drive, near Bryson Elementary School, along the border of Simpsonville and Fountain Inn. Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, officers safely removed one individual from the residence, but reported that another person inside was armed. This confrontation resulted in a deputy opening fire, fatally wounding Webster.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. No law enforcement officers were injured. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is now handling the investigation, following standard procedure.
