Fatal Golden Valley shooting death of Ronni Marzolf – Obituary
Ronni Marzolf, a 64-year-old woman from Golden Valley, Arizona, was fatally shot on her property in what authorities describe as a random act of violence on April 30, 2025.
According to Mohave County Sheriff Doug Schuster, Marzolf was not known to her suspected killer, 36-year-old Jeremy Muse of Kingman. Investigators believe Muse murdered Marzolf approximately an hour after fleeing a separate violent encounter in Kingman, where he had allegedly held his girlfriend and her children hostage for several days.
The girlfriend managed to escape the home on Valentine Avenue, at which point Muse reportedly fired at her as she fled, but she was unharmed. Shortly afterward, Marzolf was killed at her residence in the 3700 block of Bosque Road.
Later that day, Muse led police on a high-speed chase that ended in a crash at Airway Avenue and Willow Road in Kingman. A shootout followed, during which Muse was shot multiple times by police officers and critically injured. He was airlifted to a trauma center in Las Vegas for emergency treatment.
Two officers from Kingman Police Department involved in the shooting were placed on administrative leave as part of standard protocol. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is overseeing the investigation into the officer-involved shooting. The broader investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
