Nineteen-year-old Susannah Davis lost her life in a tragic house fire that swept through her family’s home in Stilson, a community in southern Bulloch County, early Wednesday morning.
Susannah died alongside her parents, Russell and Wendi Davis, and her younger sister Haley, 17, when fire crews discovered their bodies inside the residence on Stilson Road.
According to Bulloch County Public Safety Director Ted Wynn, the fire was first noticed by a volunteer firefighter on his way to work, who saw flames emerging from the home’s windows. Authorities were quickly alerted, and Bulloch County deputies, along with volunteer firefighters from multiple departments, arrived on the scene at around 4:54 a.m., Sheriff Lynn Anderson confirmed.
Emergency responders entered the burning structure and discovered all four family members had died. Susannah Davis, known for her vibrant spirit and deep connection to her community, leaves behind a legacy of kindness and promise. Her untimely death has left friends, neighbors, and loved ones heartbroken.
