Fatal Thomasville car crash death of Ashley Marie Springer McDonald and Woodie Earl Beck III – Obituary

Two individuals lost their lives and four others were hurt following a multiple-vehicle collision that took place in Clarke County on Tuesday morning.

 

According to the Thomasville Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 11:51 a.m. along Highway 43 near South Industrial Park Drive. Authorities report that a semi truck and trailer, which was fully loaded, crashed into four vehicles that had come to a stop at a red light.

 

The initial impact was with a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Ashley Marie Springer McDonald. She suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. The second car involved was operated by 53-year-old Woodie Earl Beck III, who also died at the location. Beck was later confirmed to have been a coach with Wilcox Academy in Camden, as stated by the Alabama Independent School Association.

 

Four more individuals were injured in the wreck and transported to Grove Hill Memorial Hospital via ambulance and personal vehicles. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, and all were later released.

 

The truck was registered to 4 US TRANSPORTATION COMPANY based in Chicago and was occupied by two men: 45-year-old Andril Dmyterko from Philadelphia and 31-year-old Denys Kucher from Warminster, Pennsylvania. Both men are reported to be in the United States on work visas.

 

Investigators determined that Dmyterko was driving at the time of the crash. He has since been arrested and charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter. He is currently being held in the Clarke County Jail as the investigation continues.
