Isaiah Mack and Anthony Hearns die in fatal Forest Park, Georgia, shooting
Fatal Forest Park shooting death of Isaiah Mack and Anthony Hearns – Obituary.
Authorities in Forest Park, Georgia, have made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred at a motorcycle club gathering in late April, with one suspect still on the run. Police say the violence resulted from a dispute between two rival motorcycle gangs, the Outcast and the Wheels of Soul, and has left two dead and two injured.
On the evening of April 27, officers responded to a shots-fired call at a mechanic’s shop on First Street near Jones Road and Old Dixie Highway. When they arrived, they discovered multiple victims of the shooting. Tragically, Isaiah Mack, 25, and Anthony Hearns, whose age was not provided, were pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
A day after the incident, police confirmed that Mack and Hearns were the victims. An estimated 150 to 200 people were present at the event when the shooting occurred. Authorities quickly identified Donnell “1HQ” McKnight and Nigel “Railroad” Blackwood as the prime suspects, both of whom are associated with the Outcast Motorcycle Gang. Investigators allege that McKnight and Blackwood planned the attack against the rival group, which had ties to the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club.
Forest Park Police Chief Brandon Criss stated that the shooting was fueled by a territorial dispute between the two gangs, with neither group having established roots in the area before the confrontation. McKnight is in custody at the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, while authorities continue to search for Blackwood, who remains at large.
The investigation into the shooting has revealed that the event took place at a commercial property operating without a proper business license. As a result, the property owner and lessees were cited, and a cease-and-desist order was issued. City officials are working with code enforcement to prevent the business from reopening.
Authorities expect more arrests as the investigation continues, with Police Chief Criss stating, “These are just two arrests, but I believe many more should be forthcoming.” The search for additional suspects continues, and anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Forest Park Police Department.
