According to the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, the incident also left two other individuals injured. One of the injured was shot, while the other suffered injuries after being struck with a firearm. Following the chaos, one man was arrested and charged with assault after allegedly attempting to attack a deputy at the scene. Earlier reports had indicated three gunshot victims, but officials later clarified the circumstances of the injuries.
While one individual was detained shortly after the incident for questioning, details regarding suspects and potential charges are still under investigation. Authorities noted that determining whether charges will be filed involves examining possible motives, including self-defense or the defense of others.
