Fatal Roxbury shooting death of Andrew Owens – Obituary

Andrew Owens, a 38-year-old Boston resident, was fatally shot on April 19 during a nighttime incident on Washington Street in Roxbury.

 

Police responded to a report of gunfire around 11:03 p.m. near 2343 Washington Street. Upon arrival, they found Owens suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

 

Authorities also confirmed a second individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and made their own way to a hospital for treatment.

 

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the shooting. Officials are encouraging anyone with information to reach out to the department at 617-343-4470.
