Fatal Bushnell car crash death of Taylor Neil Johnson – Obituary
Taylor Neil Johnson, a 34-year-old man from Hendricks, Minnesota, lost his life in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Monday afternoon just north of Bushnell, South Dakota. Authorities released his name on Friday following the fatal collision.
The crash happened at the intersection of 478th Avenue and 209th Street around 4:51 p.m. According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, Johnson was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe south in the northbound lane when his vehicle collided head-on with a 1985 Freightliner truck being driven by 67-year-old Randall Dean Willmott of White.
Johnson, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time, died at the scene. Willmott, who was restrained, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and survived the crash.
The incident is under continued investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
