A tragic motorcycle accident in Piedmont, South Carolina, claimed the life of 28-year-old Kristin Cheyenne Martinson on Tuesday morning. The crash happened just before noon at the intersection of Augusta Road and West Georgia Road, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.

Both Kristin and her husband, Peter Martinson, were riding the motorcycle at the time of the collision and were transported to the hospital. Sadly, Kristin, who was six months pregnant, succumbed to her injuries. Peter remains hospitalized and is slowly regaining consciousness, though the severity of his injuries is not yet known.

The couple share a two-year-old son. A GoFundMe campaign created by friends of the family aims to assist with medical costs, living expenses, and childcare support following the devastating loss.

Authorities have not yet shared additional details about what caused the crash.
