Fatal Wallingford motorcycle crash death of Evan Waycott – Obituary

A tragic motorcycle accident in Wallingford has claimed the life of 25-year-old Evan Waycott, who sustained critical injuries in a solo crash on Durham Road over the weekend.

 

Authorities reported that the incident occurred on May 3 around 5 p.m. near the 1400 block of Durham Road. Waycott was riding westbound when he veered over the center line and collided with a catch basin grate. The impact threw him from the motorcycle.

 

Police noted that Waycott was not wearing a helmet or any other protective equipment at the time of the crash. Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported him to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he later died from his injuries on Wednesday morning.

 

Investigators are continuing to look into the circumstances of the crash and are encouraging anyone with relevant information to contact Wallingford police at 203-294-2623.
