Oliver Campuzano Villalva dies in fatal Delano car crash

Fatal Delano car crash death of Oliver Campuzano Villalva – Obituary

Authorities have confirmed that 24-year-old Oliver Campuzano Villalva of Tulare lost his life in a two-vehicle collision near Delano, California.

The incident took place on the afternoon of May 7, 2025, around 3:38 p.m., at the intersection of Cecil Avenue and Wallace Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2004 Toyota Camry was heading south on Wallace Road at approximately 60 mph and failed to stop at a posted stop sign.

As the Camry entered the intersection, it collided with a 2016 Chevrolet box truck that was moving east on Cecil Avenue at about 55 mph. The front of the Camry struck the side of the box truck.

Villalva, who was seated in the front passenger seat of the Camry, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a rear passenger in the Camry suffered injuries ranging from moderate to severe and were taken to Kern Medical for treatment. The driver of the box truck also sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Delano Regional Hospital.

Investigators determined that alcohol played a role in the cause of the crash.
