Fatal Waukegan shooting death of Daniel Blalock – Obituary

Daniel Blalock, 27, of North Chicago, lost his life after being found with multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle in Waukegan on Thursday, May 8. Emergency crews responded shortly before noon to the 400 block of North Sheridan Road following a report of a shooting.

When officers and paramedics arrived, they discovered Blalock critically injured inside a car. He was transported to Vista Medical Center East, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy on Friday, confirming that Blalock died as a result of several gunshot wounds. The incident is currently being investigated as a homicide by Waukegan police, with the Major Crime Scene Unit collecting evidence from the area.

At this time, officials have not disclosed any information about suspects or a motive behind the shooting. No arrests have been made.
