Fatal Callahan County car crash death of Michael Adrian Lopez – Obituary

Michael Adrian Lopez, aged 44 and a resident of Abilene, lost his life in a head-on vehicle collision late Thursday night in Callahan County. The fatal accident took place on FM 18 close to mile marker 424, situated just west of FM 603, shortly after 11:00 p.m., as reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Authorities say Lopez had been driving westbound along FM 18 when another vehicle, traveling in the opposite direction but on the wrong side of the road, collided with him head-on. Lopez died at the scene due to the impact of the crash. The other driver reportedly sustained only minor injuries.

Officials are continuing to investigate the incident, and no additional details have been made public yet.
