Prophet A. Thomas-Applin dies in fatal Columbus shooting

Fatal Columbus shooting death of Prophet A. Thomas-Applin – Obituary

Prophet A. Thomas-Applin, a 19-year-old man, was found dead after being shot in the northeast part of Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred late on May 7, 2025, in the 4000 block of Manitoba Drive. Officers were called to the scene just after 5 a.m. the next morning, where they discovered Thomas-Applin unresponsive with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Columbus police are still investigating the circumstances of the shooting and have not yet determined a motive. Authorities are requesting any video footage from the area between 11 p.m. and midnight on May 7 to help with the investigation.
