Fatal south Charlotte crash death of William Sterling Yoder – Obituary
William Sterling Yoder, 73, lost his life on Friday afternoon following a collision involving a bicycle and a semi-truck at the intersection of Woodlawn and Park roads in south Charlotte.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m., where they found a semi-truck halted on East Woodlawn Road and an unresponsive male lying in the roadway. MEDIC confirmed that the man, identified as Yoder, was pronounced dead at the location.
The driver of the semi-truck was identified as 39-year-old Deandre McClish. Authorities have stated that neither speed nor impairment appear to have contributed to the incident. Yoder’s relatives have been informed of his passing.
