Sir Robert Wesley Dixon dies in fatal Ferris shooting

Fatal Ferris shooting death of Sir Robert Wesley Dixon – Obituary

Seventeen-year-old Sir Robert Wesley Dixon was killed Saturday afternoon during a violent confrontation that escalated into a shooting at Jerry Watson Park in Ferris, Texas. Authorities from the City of Ferris reported that more than ten individuals, including juveniles and young adults, were involved in the incident which began as a physical altercation and quickly turned deadly when multiple firearms were discharged.

Emergency services transported Dixon to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A second juvenile victim sustained injuries and was treated at a local emergency facility. Surveillance cameras at the park helped investigators reconstruct the events and identify those involved. Officials stated that an adult man allegedly retrieved a firearm originally in Dixon’s possession and fired at another juvenile believed to have initiated the gunfire, striking the second victim.

Law enforcement has charged the juvenile suspect with murder and the adult male with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Authorities are actively searching for a female, possibly a minor, who reportedly handed the weapon to Dixon before the shooting. She may face charges related to criminal responsibility. Another suspect, Julianna Jazzlean Pargas, is also being sought for evidence tampering.

Several other adults who were present during the brawl are under investigation for actions that may have escalated the violence. Police are urging all individuals involved to surrender to authorities at the Marty Steinfeldt Public Safety Headquarters. The investigation continues in collaboration with the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office.
