Thomas Peer dies in fatal Westmoreland County car crash

Fatal Westmoreland County car crash death of Thomas Peer – Obituary

A man lost his life in a rear-end crash early Saturday morning in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Authorities have identified the victim as 71-year-old Thomas Peer.

According to the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office, the incident occurred just before 3:30 a.m. along Route 22 near Mellon Road in Murrysville. Peer was driving when his vehicle struck the back of a dump truck and became lodged beneath it.

Emergency personnel pronounced Peer dead at the scene. Officials confirmed he was the sole occupant of his car. The driver of the dump truck was not harmed.

Investigators continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
