Ethan Parker, a 12-year-old boy from Philadelphia, was tragically killed while filming a music video inside a home over the weekend.

The incident happened Saturday around midday on the 1500 block of East Pastorius Street. Parker was participating in the video project with two teenagers when a firearm discharged, striking him in the chest. First responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead just before 1 p.m.

Authorities say several weapons were found inside the residence, and the firearm involved in the shooting was recovered at the scene. A 17-year-old has been arrested and is now facing charges including third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter.

Police have not released the name of the teenage suspect. Community members expressed deep sorrow and disbelief over the incident, calling it a senseless tragedy that occurred in broad daylight.
