Fatal Allston homicide death of Peggy Yousuf – Obituary

Peggy Yousuf, 77, was found dead in her Allston home on April 12, after what police are calling an “unknown incident,” possibly involving domestic violence.

Police responded to the scene at 82 Glenville Ave. and discovered Yousuf had suffered severe head trauma, likely caused by a baseball bat or sword.

Following an investigation, officers arrested 26-year-old Omar Riaz, who had a familial relationship with the victim, after a carjacking attempt. He was charged with murder, armed carjacking, and resisting arrest.

Yousuf, a long-time Allston resident, was remembered as a caring home health aide and is survived by her daughter, sister, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on May 16 at Casper Funeral Home in Boston.
