Fatal Choctaw Drive crash death of Thailan Favroth – Obituary

Thailan Favroth, 24, tragically passed away following a crash on Choctaw Drive in Baton Rouge on the morning of May 12, 2025. Favroth was critically injured when the car he was in collided with a pole, causing it to spin out of control and split in two.

His companion, a woman who was not identified, was also seriously injured and taken to the hospital. Family members expressed their grief over the tragedy, with Favroth’s great uncle, John Martin, sharing the painful news that he had not known his great niece was in the car until a family member informed him.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner confirmed Favroth’s death, and the incident remains under investigation.
