Fatal Pine River-Backus crash death of Keylah Kendrick – Obituary

Keylah Kendrick, an 18-year-old Pine River-Backus senior, tragically lost her life in a crash on May 9. The incident occurred at the intersection of county highways 1 and 66 near Manhattan Beach, when the vehicle she was in collided with a dump truck.

Kendrick was declared dead at the scene, while her mother, Sara Callahan, was critically injured and airlifted to Duluth. Another passenger, 18-year-old Hannah Cobb, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Kendrick, who was set to graduate high school and attend the University of Arizona, was remembered as a bright and kind soul. A GoFundMe account has been set up in her memory to assist her mother and support funeral expenses.
