Samuel Blake Heflin, 27, from Moulton, tragically passed away in a car crash on May 7. The accident occurred on County Road 55, near the Langtown and Youngtown communities, when his vehicle caught fire, making identification difficult.
The Lawrence County Coroner’s Office later confirmed Heflin’s identity through dental x-rays. Authorities had previously sought public assistance in identifying the victim due to the extent of the fire damage. The wreck is under investigation by local officials.
