Fatal Lane shooting death of Alva Boyd Fortenberry – Obituary

Authorities have confirmed the identity of the man found shot to death in Lane, Oklahoma, as 63-year-old Alva Boyd Fortenberry. His body was discovered in the yard of a woman’s residence in a location locally referred to as “The Crow’s Nest.”

According to Atoka County Sheriff Kody Simpson, one person has been detained in connection with Fortenberry’s death, although officials have not released that individual’s name or the charges they may face.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is currently overseeing the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
