Fatal Greenville car crash death of Linda Mahoney – Obituary
Linda Mahoney, 77, of Cochranville, Pennsylvania, passed away from injuries she suffered in a serious two-vehicle collision on Kennett Pike in Greenville, Delaware, on May 10, 2025.
Delaware State Police reported that around 4:33 p.m. that Saturday, a 2025 gray Hyundai Kona was heading northbound on Kennett Pike near Stone Brook Drive when it was struck head-on by a 2018 gray Hyundai Kona that had veered into the wrong lane.
Mahoney, a passenger in the 2025 Hyundai, was critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries two days later, on May 12. The 80-year-old male driver of her vehicle was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other vehicle was driven by a 20-year-old man from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, who, along with his 21-year-old male passenger, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
