Salvador Medina Jr., 35, of Long Beach, was killed in a tragic collision last week when a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction struck his car on Seventh Street.

The incident happened around 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday as Medina was driving east in a red Honda Accord. According to Long Beach police, a Honda Civic, traveling at high speed, veered into oncoming lanes near Terraine Avenue and collided head-on with Medina’s vehicle.

Both drivers were pronounced dead. Medina’s family has received an outpouring of support, with a fundraiser gathering thousands of dollars to help them through the aftermath of the crash.
