Fatal Bunkerville DUI crash deaths of Case Hardy and Emmie Hardy – Obituary
Case Hardy, age 9, and Emmie Hardy, age 6, both from Logandale, Nevada, tragically lost their lives in a suspected DUI crash on Interstate 15 near Bunkerville on May 4. The fatal incident occurred when the Honda Odyssey they were riding in was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 40-year-old Steven Woods of Hurricane, Utah.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near mile marker 100 at Carp Elgin Road, roughly an hour northeast of Las Vegas. The Hardy siblings were among seven people in the Honda Odyssey at the time of the crash. Authorities confirmed that the children died from multiple blunt force injuries.
In addition to Case and Emmie, five others sustained injuries in the multi-vehicle accident. Woods has been charged with DUI and reckless driving resulting in death or serious injury in Bunkerville Justice Court. He was released from custody but is scheduled to appear in court again on May 21.
The tragic loss of Case and Emmie has deeply affected their community, as the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash continues.
