Fatal Aiken County motorcycle crash death of Jammy Weaver – Obituary

Jammy Weaver, a 53-year-old resident of Johnston, South Carolina, was killed late Friday night following a motorcycle crash in Aiken County. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol’s Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway, the accident took place shortly before 10:30 p.m. along U.S. 25 (Edgefield Road), near the Sweetwater Road area outside North Augusta.

 

Weaver was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson southbound when he collided with power lines that were hanging low across the roadway. These lines, authorities said, had fallen due to a damaged traffic light.

 

Aiken County Coroner Darryl M. Ables confirmed that Weaver was thrown from the motorcycle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was officially declared dead at 11:10 p.m.

 

The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
