Fatal Taconic Parkway car crash death of Bryan Aguilar Castillo – Obituary

Bryan Aguilar Castillo, 45, of Asbury Park, New Jersey, was one of three individuals from Monmouth County who lost their lives in a tragic two-vehicle collision on the Taconic State Parkway in New York Wednesday night. Authorities from the New York State Police confirmed that the van carrying the victims veered into an opposing lane, struck a Honda vehicle, overturned, and caught fire.

 

Castillo was traveling in a Ram ProMaster van alongside Odenis Balladares Martinez, 20, of Neptune, and Harrison Mauricio Reyes Rivera, 34, of Long Branch. All three were pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of the crash.

 

Rob Violante, the driver of the Honda and a high school football coach from Granite Springs, New York, was also fatally injured. He later died at the hospital. The van’s driver, Yader A. Reyes, 50, of Long Branch, survived the wreck and remains hospitalized in critical condition at Westchester Medical Center.

 

The cause of the accident remains under active investigation, and officials are asking anyone with information to contact the New York State Police at (845) 677-7300.
