Fatal New Haven car crash death of Shaquaza Morris – Obituary

Shaquaza Morris, a 25-year-old resident of New Haven, has been confirmed as the victim in a deadly single-car accident that took place early Saturday morning on Shelton Avenue, according to local police.

Authorities reported that Morris was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital following the collision but later succumbed to her injuries.

The crash occurred around 1:50 a.m. in the vicinity of Gibbs Street. Investigators say that Morris’s vehicle struck a speed bump, causing her to lose control of the car, which then veered off the road and collided with a tree.

No additional vehicles were involved in the incident. The New Haven Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
