Fatal Morton County motorcycle crash death of Ryan Abels – Obituary

Ryan Abels, 52, of Carson, North Dakota, tragically died in a motorcycle accident on May 13 while traveling southbound on Highway 49 between Glen Ullin and Elgin. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Abels failed to successfully navigate a curve in the road around 5 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time, causing him to leave the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The highway patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Glen Ullin is located about 54 miles west of Bismarck. The community mourns the loss of Abels, remembering him as a local resident whose life was cut short in this tragic accident.
