Intisar Mi, a 5-year-old child from Fort Wayne, Indiana, was found dead on May 19 following a tragic train accident in Fremont, Ohio. Authorities discovered her body near the Sandusky River under a railroad bridge where the collision occurred.
The crash happened Sunday evening, May 18, when a train struck members of a family who were visiting the area for a fishing trip. The City of Fremont confirmed the deaths of two women: 50-year-old Ram Masan and 34-year-old O Ny Zar. The only survivor of the incident was a 14-month-old child, who remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Witnesses reported that the victims fell into the river after the train approached and blew its horn. Bystanders, including a teenager, helped rescue the infant from the water.
Authorities say the train belonged to Norfolk Southern, and the incident is still under investigation. The community has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss experienced by the visiting family.
