Fatal Gresham shooting death of Liam Spahnle-Bailey – Obituary
Liam Spahnle-Bailey, a 13-year-old boy, tragically lost his life after being struck by stray bullets while asleep inside his father’s apartment in Gresham, Oregon. The fatal incident occurred on April 27 at the Eleven Pines Apartment complex on Southwest 11th Street.
Police say multiple rounds were fired from a neighboring unit, with several bullets penetrating the walls of the apartment where Liam was sleeping. Officers responded quickly and administered first aid before Liam was taken to a hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have named three suspects in the shooting: 20-year-old Anthony C. Hunter Jr., 20-year-old Xavier Hirsch, and 16-year-old Terrell Coy. All three are facing charges including second-degree murder and are considered armed and dangerous.
Police have not disclosed what led to the shooting but confirmed another person was also wounded in the incident and later released from the hospital.
Gresham Police Chief Travis Gullberg stated that law enforcement has been working diligently to identify those involved and is now turning to the public for help in locating the suspects. Tips can be sent to Detectives Lindsay Friderich and Martin Daly.
