David Farber dies in fatal Oswego Township house fire

Fatal Oswego Township house fire death of David Farber – Obituary

An early morning blaze in Oswego Township on Sunday led to the death of 86-year-old David Farber, Kendall County authorities confirmed. Farber’s dog also perished in the fire, which occurred in the 30 block of Fernwood Road.

 

Emergency personnel arrived just before 6:30 a.m. after reports of smoke prompted a response from the Oswego Fire Protection District. Upon entering the residence, firefighters located Farber and his dog deceased inside.

 

Firefighters successfully brought the flames under control. Investigators from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, Oswego Fire Protection District, the County Coroner, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are working together to determine the origin and cause of the fire.

 

A forensic autopsy was conducted Monday morning by the Kendall County Coroner’s Office. Officials stated that the official cause and manner of death will be determined after further investigation and toxicology analysis are completed.
