Fatal Karachi road accident deaths of Nighat and Munir Nazar – Obituary
Two tragic road accidents in Karachi on Wednesday night claimed three lives, including a married couple and another man, in separate incidents across the city.
In the first crash, a high-speed coaster collided with a motorcycle near Siemens Chowrangi in the Site Area. The impact killed 50-year-old Nighat at the scene, while her husband, 55-year-old Jamil Ahmed, suffered severe injuries. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital but died later from his wounds. The couple, residents of Sector 11/5 in Orangi Town, passed away within hours of each other.
Law enforcement arrested the coaster driver, identified as Ansar, and took the vehicle into custody. Authorities released the victims’ bodies to their relatives following legal procedures.
In a separate incident in Clifton, 45-year-old Munir Nazar, a motorcyclist from Quaidabad, was struck and killed by a speeding oil tanker. The collision was so intense that it decapitated him. The driver of the tanker escaped from the scene. However, police impounded the vehicle and began efforts to locate the suspect.
Chhipa rescue workers transported Munir’s body and severed head to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). His remains were placed in the morgue awaiting the arrival of his family.
