Fatal Woodlawn car crash death of Juliana Kai Russell – Obituary

Juliana Kai Russell, 27, of Alexandria, was killed after a tree toppled onto her vehicle during a severe weather event in Woodlawn. The incident happened shortly before 5:45 p.m. near the intersection of Manor Drive and Pole Road, according to Fairfax County Police.

 

When emergency crews arrived, they discovered a fallen tree had landed on a 2020 Toyota Camry with Russell inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Russell’s tragic death was one of two fatalities reported that day in the DMV area due to falling trees. The crash underscores the danger of extreme weather conditions that swept through the region.
