Fatal Gary, Indiana shooting death of Chasity Shorter – Obituary

Chasity Shorter, a 21-year-old woman from Gary, Indiana, who was four months pregnant, was found dead in a murder-suicide incident at a residence on Clark Street.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office responded to the home in the 400-block of Clark Street on Friday night at 11:22 p.m., where they discovered Shorter had been fatally shot. Her death was officially ruled a homicide.

Authorities also found the body of 21-year-old Brice Taylor from Hammond, Indiana, who suffered gunshot wounds. The coroner determined the case to be a murder-suicide.
