Fatal Mount Everest climbing deaths of Subrata Ghosh and Philipp Santiago – Obituary

Two climbers, Subrata Ghosh from India and Philipp Santiago, 45, from the Philippines, lost their lives while attempting to climb Mount Everest, officials confirmed Friday. Ghosh passed away Thursday just below the summit, standing at 29,032 feet, during his descent after reaching the peak. Santiago died on Wednesday as he was ascending toward the summit, having reached Camp 4, the highest base camp on the mountain, where he was preparing for his final push to the top.
