Fatal Augusta shooting death of Kameron Mason – Obituary

Kameron Mason, 28, was killed Thursday night in a shooting that occurred at the MacArthur Park Apartments in Augusta, Georgia. Authorities responded to the complex on Integrity Drive at approximately 10:28 p.m. following reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, Richmond County deputies discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Mason had been shot at least once and was pronounced dead at the scene by 11:36 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

Another person was also injured in the incident, but their condition has not yet been disclosed. An autopsy has been planned to further investigate the cause of Mason’s death.
