Charles Williamson dies in fatal Millsboro car crash

Fatal Millsboro car crash death of Charles Williamson – Obituary

A tragic collision in Millsboro on May 20, 2025, resulted in the death of 19-year-old Charles Williamson from Dagsboro. The incident took place around 5:16 p.m. on Hollyville Road near Harmon’s Hill Road, according to Delaware State Police.

Authorities reported that a Lincoln MKZ, driven by Williamson, was heading west when it veered into the eastbound lane for unknown reasons. At the same time, a Cadillac Escalade was approaching from the opposite direction. In an effort to avoid the crash, the Cadillac driver swerved toward the shoulder, but the Lincoln struck the front of the vehicle head-on.

Williamson was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The 52-year-old woman driving the Cadillac, also from Dagsboro, was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening. A 56-year-old passenger from Millsboro was also taken to a medical facility with similar non-life-threatening injuries.

Hollyville Road was temporarily closed to allow investigators to examine the scene and remove the wreckage.
