Jordan Norman, 31, a resident of San Marcos, lost his life early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run collision in Lakeside, California.

Norman was traveling northbound on State Route 67 shortly after 1 a.m. when a 1998 Mitsubishi SUV turned left against a red light at Willow Road, directly into the path of his 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The impact caused Norman to sustain severe blunt-force injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

After the crash, the SUV collided with a streetlight pole before the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Authorities have not disclosed whether a suspect has been identified or arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.

Officials urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they continue to pursue justice for Jordan Norman.
