Fatal New Orleans shooting deaths of Dave Jefferson and Antonio Rainey – Obituaries

Two men, both aged 45, were fatally shot in separate incidents in New Orleans earlier this week, according to the New Orleans Coroner’s Office.

Dave Jefferson was found shot and wounded Sunday afternoon outside a residence in the 8700 block of Edinburgh in the Hollygrove neighborhood. He was discovered in the driver’s seat of a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.

Antonio Rainey was located the following morning, Monday, fatally shot in Gentilly Terrace along the 2600 block of Myrtle Street.

Both deaths have been ruled homicides, and investigations remain active. Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of these shootings.
