A deadly collision in Buffalo Township on Tuesday resulted in the death of 50-year-old Jason B. Forsythe, a resident of Nescopeck, as confirmed by Pennsylvania State Police in Milton.
Authorities reported the accident took place around 3:54 p.m. on Route 192, also known as Buffalo Road. Forsythe was behind the wheel of a 2015 Subaru Impreza heading west when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2024 Ford F450 pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction.
The impact caused both vehicles to stop in the eastbound lane. Forsythe was taken to Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the pickup truck, 32-year-old Jesse M. Martin of Mifflinburg, was not injured. Two passengers in the truck, Marcus R. Zimmerman, 19, from Lewisburg, and Delton H. Zimmerman, 18, from Mifflinburg, were also unharmed, according to the police report.
Responding agencies included Mifflinburg Hose Company, Wellspan and Evangelical Community Hospital EMS teams, the Union County Coroner’s Office, and PennDOT.
