Robert Prevost dies in fatal Clarence-Rockland homicide

Fatal Clarence-Rockland homicide death of Robert Prevost – Obituary

Ontario Provincial Police have launched a homicide investigation after the body of 63-year-old Robert Prevost was discovered in the Ottawa River near Clarence-Rockland last weekend.

 

Authorities recovered Prevost’s remains from the water close to Dallaire Street around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday following a report from a member of the public. The area is situated roughly 40 kilometers from downtown Ottawa.

 

In a statement released Friday, police officially identified the deceased as Robert Prevost, who had not been seen since February and was reported missing in March. His death is now being treated as a suspected homicide.

 

The OPP is urging anyone who may have information related to Prevost’s death to contact the Russell County detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
