Fatal Spring motorcycle crash death of Aamil Maredia – Obituary

Aamil Maredia, an 18-year-old senior at Klein Oak High School, lost his life in a motorcycle accident on the North Freeway in Spring on Thursday afternoon, May 22, 2025.

The crash happened at around 2:25 PM in the 19300 block of the freeway’s northbound lanes. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division, Maredia was traveling north on his motorcycle when he failed to stay within his lane and attempted to pass on the right in an unsafe manner.

Authorities say Maredia’s motorcycle veered onto the right shoulder and struck a stationary 2019 International rollback wrecker, which was positioned behind a broken-down vehicle. The impact caused Maredia to be thrown from his motorcycle.

First responders from Emergency Services District 11, including Medic 406, arrived shortly after and declared Maredia dead at 2:48 PM.

The crash remains under active investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
