Simon Rojas, 65, from Alice, Texas, lost his life following a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon near Corpus Christi. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, troopers responded to a crash report on State Highway 44, approximately 10 miles west of Robstown, involving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox.

The investigation showed that Rojas was driving westbound on the highway when he veered off the road and collided with private property. Emergency responders found Rojas unresponsive at the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was later declared dead. Authorities suspect that Rojas suffered a medical emergency before the accident occurred.

An autopsy is pending, and law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
